“In The Moment”
September 23-November 17 2017
Art lovers turned out in droves for the opening reception of “In the Moment,” a new series of paintings from Portland artist Cheryl Seavey.
Having painted numerous commissioned pieces and shared her artwork with family and friends over the years, she is excited to have her first public show at 317 Main.
Seavey says she tries to capture a moment in time and a sense of place in her paintings. “The images remind us that life is not static, but in motion,” says Seavey.
Cheryl Seavey lives in Portland, Maine with her husband, two kids and their dog, Sally.
She has a degree in environmental studies and sociology and has developed a strong sense of stewardship and community through her years of work for a local, non-profit organization and volunteering in local schools.
40% of proceeds from any sale during the show will be donated to 317 Main Community Music Center.
