The 317 Gallery is located in the the front parlor rooms at 317 Main Community Music Center. The high ceilings and beautiful natural light in the historic Main Street building make it a perfect venue to display artwork. Refuge-A Series of mixed-media works by Betsy Thompson

317 Gallery is pleased to present Refuge, a new series of mixed-media works by artist and illustrator Betsy Thompson of Portland, Maine.  The collection, created over the last 18 months, is an examination of the search for compassion and humanity in our changing world.

The pieces, created on paper and wood panels, document the importance of cultivating and nurturing personal relationships, and the discovery of safe harbor in the sense of home, community, and the larger world.

 

317 Gallery invites the public to a reception for the artist on Saturday, March 25th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. The evening will include refreshments and live music from The Cliffhangers, a student group featuring Thompson’s daughter Lily.

January 21st – March 15th 2017
The Familiar -New works by Marlena Faxon

The 317 Gallery is pleased to present The Familiar, a collection of new works from Yarmouth artist Marlena Faxon,  from January 21st – March 15th. Please join us for an opening reception on Jan. 21st from 6-8pm with live music featuring members of the artist’s family and refreshments.  40% of proceeds from sales during the show will be donated by the artist to support broad access to music education.

Earth, Sea & Sky -Reflections on Nature from the artists of Brahms Mount
Opening Reception Saturday, November 19th 6-8pm

317 Gallery is pleased to present Earth, Sea & Sky – Reflections on Nature, a collection of paintings brahmsmountshowand photographs from the artists of Brahms Mount. The artists, Linda Horstmann

of Yarmouth, Debra Serino of Yarmouth, Samantha Rand of Freeport, and Anne Ritchie of Freeport, have a bond based on friendship and a shared love of Maine. The show will include 30 works that together explore their relationship with the natural world, from the sanctuary of a backyard garden, to the earth’s place in the universe.

Yarmouth artist Lisa Estabrook takes us on an intimate exploration of the plants and flowers that Soulflower Purple Poppy
