David Bartoletti

David is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He began studying the piano at age 5, and at 16 started playing in rock and jam bands. He studied philosophy at the University of Dayton, Ohio, where he also served as the resident pipe organist at the city’s cathedral for 4 years. After his undergraduate, he spent a year touring with rock/improv/jam band The Werks.

In 2009, David moved to Maine with his now-wife who hails from Skowhegan. For 2 years, he built hiking trails around the state with the Maine Conservation Corps before settling in Portland to serve as the Pianist/Organist at First Parish Church, Unitarian Universalist, next to city hall. During this time, he studied at the University of Southern Maine School of Music with Annie Antonacos and Laura Kargul.

David is currently the Pianist/Organist at the Foreside Community Church in Falmouth and St. Gregory’s in Gray. He also enjoys working with singers and is the accompanist for the Sea Change Chorale in Portland, a social-justice themed choir that partners with local non-profit organizations to raise funds and awareness. David has 2 young daughters who currently love when he plays and sings the music of Mister Rogers, who also just happens to be a native of Pittsburgh.
