On Saturday, May 20th, the barn that was attached to 317 Main was torn down. While it was hard to let the barn go, we knew it was too far gone to save, and left standing, presented a safety hazard.
In the near term, the grounds will be graded and seeded, creating usable outdoor space for the summer months. Over the next few months, we’ll be soliciting YOUR input on how the space might be redeveloped.
Got a question or a suggestion for our Executive Director John Williams? Please join him for coffee in the cafe on the first Wednesday of the month to discuss 317 Main’s future and how we can better serve the community.
Next coffee: Wednesday, June 7th 8:30-9:30am.
Until then, check out these videos of the demolition and “Operation Cupola Rescue.”
