What a great afternoon we had together at MarketFest. Our two food trucks, Mashed in Maine and Mainely Meatballs were so busy they sold out and Liquid Riot’s Yarmouth tribute beer, “Herbie” was a huge hit. In fact, the Michaud brothers said it was one of the most successful releases they’ve ever done. You can read more about Herbie in this recent Forecaster article.
The porch music at MarketFest featured families who play music together.
Amanda Gale and her husband, accordion play Christian Stevens played a rollicking set of Irish tunes, while baby Henry slept in Amanda’s lap. Cass Gilbert shared his love of bluegrass with his two kids Eli and Grace. 317 Main students Hillary Connor and her younger sister Lilah showed of their vocal harmonies and Leah Ringelstein joined us on her fiddle with the three leading men in her life, her father, her husband and her young son.
Thanks to all who came out for this celebration of Maine food and families. We know we’re onto something good here. Look for more MarketFests in 2018.
