317 Main Community Music Center collaborates with schools and other nonprofits in southern Maine to provide music education programs that deepen students’ engagement in their school curriculum and creative projects. These programs are offered free of charge to students, most of whom would not otherwise have access to high quality, small group music instruction. Partnership programs are core to our mission of making music accessible to all. These programs are generously supported by foundation grants and community donations as well as contributions from our partners.

What partners are saying about 317’s programs:
317 Main is one of our favorite organizations in all of Maine with which to collaborate. We find their staff to be skilled and student-centered, and their programming to be flexible, innovative and accessible.
317 Main supports our model of afterschool activities that emphasizes education and community, as they provide excellent role models for youth in our communities. The implementation of this partnership has great benefits for the many youth in Greater Portland.
The Rowe School students and faculty have been thoroughly impressed with the caliber of the offerings provided and the students always left with a spring in their steps and a song in their hearts.
Whether by instilling confidence, building self-esteem, and helping individual students to grow independently or by collectively providing the whole group with a meaningful collection of shared memories and fun feelings of togetherness, 317 Main has invariably played an integral role this year in helping us to shape our school culture, fulfill our mission, and evolve educationally in new and exciting ways.
Thank you to our Partnership Program Supporters
317 Main’s Partnership Programs are made possible in part through the generosity of our donors who are committed to access to music education regardless of personal circumstances.
