Wilma Can’t Do It Alone!

Some of you have asked about the cyclist perched on a red Schwinn on the 317 porch.

Wilma used to live at the Yarmouth Community Garden, but much to her partner Frank’s chagrin, she wanted more out of life.

Wilma longed for the open road.

She left the garden to join the 317  team on the Stop and Smell The Roses Cycling Fundraiser, a ride presented by The Maine Beer Company, to benefit 317 Main on October 3rd.

All the participants, including Wilma, are trying to raise $500 in pledges.  You can support her or another member of the 317 Team by sending a donation, or registering for the ride and joining the 317 team. If you make a contribution, please indicate which rider you’re supporting. Wilma thanks you!

Like many troubled love stories, Wilma and Frank’s story is best told in song.

And with a building filled with musicians, The Ballad of Frank and Wilma was inevitable.
