Nicholas Parker
Teaches: Piano, beginner voice, saxophone, composition
Teaching Philosophy: My primary focus is helping students to develop a real appreciation for their instruments. I believe that falling in love with the process of practicing—and playing for the sake of one’s own enjoyment instead of external validation—is the most valuable thing a person can do to ensure lifelong musicianship!
Music Influences: George Winston, Claude Debussy, Joni Mitchell
When I’m not making music: I enjoy spending time outdoors, and going for long walks and hikes with friends! I also love to explore different restaurants and coffee shops in Portland, where I’m still somewhat new.
Favorite Place in Maine: Cold Stream Pond in Enfield!
