There’s a whole world of music waiting at 317.
Start with the experience that fits you best—join a group to play alongside others, or dive into private lessons for one-on-one growth. With year-round classes, workshops, ensembles, and personalized instruction, there are countless ways to learn, connect, and keep growing. However you begin, you’ll find people who meet you where you are and help you discover what’s possible when we make music together.
Private Lessons
Not quite sure where to begin? A trial lesson gives you a low-pressure way to meet a Teaching Artist, get a feel for their style, and see how it aligns with your goals. You’ll get hands-on time with your instrument, ask questions, and learn what ongoing work could look like. It’s the perfect first step before committing to a recurring weekly lesson.
Recurring lessons are the foundation of musical growth at 317. You commit to a Teaching Artist, a regular time, and a shared plan—and together you build skills, repertoire, and confidence week after week. This steady rhythm creates momentum, deepens relationships, and helps you reach the goals that matter to you. If you’re serious about making progress, this is your home base.
Already play, but need some quick guidance or fresh feedback? Drop-in lessons give you flexibility—great for busy schedules, short-term projects, or polishing a specific song. You won’t always work with the same Teaching Artist, but you will get targeted advice to keep you moving. Like yoga for musicians, drop-ins adapt to your life so you can learn when and how it works for you.
