Songs From Here is an initiative fostering the creation of new vocal music in Maine through the commission of new works and building connections between Maine's poets and composers. Founded by soprano Sarah Tuttle in 2020, Songs From Here is pleased to bring their 2023 fall program to 317 Main.

Each year, the Songs From Here team brings Maine audiences a recital program that highlights new pieces by Maine’s best composers and poetry readings from local poets. This year join Sarah Tuttle,pianist Bridget Convey, and an exciting variety of local poets for a program inspired by the woods and waters of Maine. You’ll hear new pieces by returning composer Erica Ball and a new set of songs by
