A masterclass that teaches students how to prepare for musical theater and classical auditions for the Maine NATS Festival (this year on October 28th at Bates College). Divisions for musical theater start at grade 5; classical starts at grade 7. Both divisions have no upper age limit to participate. Students will learn how to introduce themselves and their repertoire to a panel of judges, collaborate with a pianist without a previous rehearsal, work on artistic expression and musicality in high pressure situations, and most of all, learn to have fun and enjoy themselves in the process.
