Irish Sessions at 317 Main

March 8th prior to Open the Door for Three (you do not need to have a ticket to the show to join the session)

Please join us for an Irish Session at 317 Main at Fox & the Fiddle before our concert featuring Open the Door for Three. The session is free and open to all musicians and geared towards beginner through intermediate players! 

An "Irish Session" is not a performance for an audience, but a musical conversation among friends that may just happen to have an audience. Someone starts a tune, and those that know it join in. At the end of the tune, the person who started the first tune might transition into a second tune, or a different person might start the tune that follows. 

It's informal, mostly unplanned, and fun. Between sets of tunes, folks chat with their neighbor, share a laugh, debate what the name of the last tune was, etc. Come join us, either to listen or to play! You are most welcome even if you are new to Irish Traditional tunes - we have all benefited from others introducing us to tunes, and are happy to return the favor.
