Maine musician and songwriter Sigrid Sibley announced the release of her debut album Old Faithful Dreams on Friday, May 30, 2025. The album features 12 original songs and will be available to stream on all major platforms.

Sigrid Sibley is a native of Poland Spring, Maine where she was raised on a small homestead with backyard chickens, fruit trees, and a busy family garden. She spent most of her early years reading at the town library, writing poetry, and listening to her family’s music collection. When she began playing guitar at age 11, songwriting was a natural extension of these literary and musical interests and soon became a full fledged creative outlet.

Sigrid has been an active part of the Maine music scene since 2017, when she first began performing in the Greater Portland area. She now plays shows across the state and beyond, rotating between summer festivals, farmers markets, songwriter showcases, coffee shops, and bookstores. Past performances include the Common Ground Fair in Unity, ME; the Maine Cheese Festival in Pittsfield, ME; and the Poland Spring Resort summer concert series.

From 2017-2021, Sigrid studied Music Education with a focus in Composition at the University of Southern Maine. During her time at college she met and collaborated with local musicians in Southern Maine, including several who contributed to the upcoming album.

While at the University of Southern Maine Sigrid was a contributing member of Composer’s Ensemble, a student ensemble led by Dr. Daniel Sonenberg, which is where she met pianist and composer Clifford Cameron. The two have since collaborated on several projects and performed extensively in Maine. Cameron’s contributions to the album include several string arrangements and album production, as well as tracking piano, organ, and backing vocals.

The album cover features an oil painting done by Morgan Cameron, an artist and musician based in Southern Maine. Morgan also contributed mandolin and backing vocal tracks, and assisted with the graphic design of the album art.

Old Faithful Dreams was recorded January through September 2024 at Dark Hollow Studios in Gray, ME. All recording was done with local musicians in a live setting.
